Pillars of the Sea, 2016

Oceanus Waterfront Mall, Kota Kinabalu

The monumental task of building the Pillars of the Sea has earned Sculptureatwork “The Tallest Hand-Cut Mosaic Columns in Malaysia” by the Malaysian Book of Records.

It spans across 4 floors and each column is 20 meters in height, every piece of mosaic tiles were well thought-out and positioned. Observers will notice certain pieces of mosaic tiles are gleaming, it was deliberately placed in order to create a 3D effect of underwater movement.
