This sculptures at Times Square are to commemorate in the tin industry’s workers, and its designers are to be congratulated on achieving a finish that resembles tin metal in the two figures. The unusual name for this piece comes from its initial design, which showed the figure of the supervisor directing a Javanese laborer to send tin ingots to an overseas destination, while beside them a signpost indicated the direction of major cities such as New York, London and Tokyo. In original design for this piece, the supervisor was holding a paper with the text… ‘Where to deliver?’
