The Marking George Town is a collection of caricatures placed on historic streets of George Town. The concept is related to the history or characteristics of selected streets in George Town by using steel rod caricatures of local cartoonist. It makes the history of George Town interesting and easily grasped by the residents, the young and the old. The Marking George Town is the voices from the people that would reflect the unique character of each location through amusing caricatures and there are total 52 sets of sculpture. In September 2009, Sculptureatwork won the competition that organized by the Penang State Government to present George Town’s listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
